ABOUT ME
Backwards and Forwards
An Original Screenplay (Directed, Written, and Produced) by Dominique Breckenridge
Hello all. Sharing with you a story in reflection of the loss of my light in life ... My mom, whom I lost recently ... and miss every day. The title of the film is inspired by a painting my mom painted when I was in my early teens. She was an Artist, who painted in oils. Featured in publications, and newspaper articles, with works seen in not only people's homes, but also in the lobbies of offices, and also spoke to schools about artwork and her paintings.

To get a full view of the bond my Mom and I had, truly being just as much sisters as Mother and Daughter, visit www.dominiquerevue.weebly.com where I post blogs regularly about coping through cinema and "mom and I" films, which were a huge part of our everyday life; our nicknames being Stella and Blanche (from A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (1951) for that story read here), watching, quoting, reviewing, as you would no doubt find out quickly on Twitter @DominiqueRevue where I post #ForMyMom daily.

With my longtime passion for filmmaking, this short film was the best way I could try and share in some way, artistically, the silence and loneliness anyone feels when you've lost what seems -- what is, a part of your physical being. Unable to function the way you used to without the use of both arms or both legs. This feeling not only translated from me but my dad as well. My Mom's beauty is unmatched by anything I've ever known in my life. I can only hope this would do her proud in showing her so.
